The terrain cross-section
The diagram is illustrative: it shows the character of the terrain — climbs, descents and the five obstacles that can be seen in the tournament photos. No source gives exact dimensions.
Loose ground and a steep exit at the top.
Old tires are laid along the edge of the site.
A deep rut with water — the most spectacular section.
Logs are laid tightly across the direction of travel.
An inclined deck onto which the vehicle drives with two wheels.
The cross-section is illustrative: the sources do not give the exact geometry, length or elevation change of the course. The obstacles are named from the official photos of the tournament of June 28, 2026; the string of flags in the diagram is the very same marking that outlines the driving corridor in the photos.

How the edge is built
Old tires are laid around the perimeter of the work zone — they absorb a vehicle that runs off the site. The driving corridor is marked with stakes and strings of colored flags; in the photos the spectators stand behind this marking, on the mound and along the Marina Village buildings.
The available sources contain no official requirements for drivers, vehicles, equipment or the age of participants. All that can honestly be said: the tournament was judged by a panel with international experience, and the competition took place with the support of the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation.
